brilliant illustrations of Pierluigi Longo

Just discovered some great work by Pierluigi Longo over on Illustration Mundo.
I especially like the section of his portfolio entitled "Industrial Debris Reborn to New Life." It's an interesting co-incidence that just as I come across this work, I have recently been working on my own collage, using bicycle parts and skateboards to create flowers. I'll post it up on here too, when it's done.

She Says - ladies in creative digital agencies

She Says are a female collective that have got together to encourage other ladies into creative digital agencies, and share their experiences and work in the industry... Their next meeting (7.30pm on the 15th March at Dare) includes guest speakers from Agency Republic, Glue and AKQA.

your own personal radio station!

Lately, I've been using Last FM. It's free to download and then you can search for the name of a band you like, or just search any old keyword really, and it will find a whole bunch of tracks by "similar" artists and play them for you, like a radio station, but without whiny disk jockeys and boring ads. It does other cool stuff too, but you should go find out for yourselves. All I know, is it hardly ever plays me a song I have to skip and it's great for when you're bored of all your playlists.

There is an interesting interview with Marian Bantjes on Veer as part of their "portraits of creativity". You can read the full interview here

Bantjes on creative blocks: "When I have no ideas, I usually just suffer and cry. I go for walks, I take a bath, I go to sleep. I’m frequently lucky enough to wake up in the morning with the idea."
It's good to know that someone who makes such extraordinary work gets stuck sometimes too.
